Overview
NEAR is a multidisciplinary research network operating under the umbrella of the World Educational Research Association (WERA). It is dedicated to advancing education in Arab countries and for Arab communities worldwide, while welcoming non-Arab scholars interested in Arab contexts. By building research capacity, promoting best practices, and fostering Arab–international collaboration, NEAR serves as a virtual hub for scholarly exchange, knowledge production, and reimagining education with a focus on innovation, equity, and cultural authenticity
NEAR is an inclusive research platform for both Arab and non-Arab scholars interested in Arab educational contexts. It addresses pressing regional challenges by building strong knowledge foundations, facilitating scholarly exchange, and strengthening cross-border research collaboration.
